Calexico PD lauds promotion of three sergeants » Holtville Tribune

CALEXICO — Calexico Police Chief Armando Orozco has announced the promotions of Miguel Carbajal, Oscar Ruiz and Shaun Sundahl to the rank of sergeant during a swearing-in ceremony at City Hall this week.

The promotions are effective immediately, according to Orozco.

Sgt. Sundahl and Carbajal have served as acting sergeants since November. During this period, Orozco said they have shown exceptional leadership and dedication to their roles, contributing significantly to the operations of the department and the safety of our community. Sgt. Ruiz had been assigned to a specialized detail.

All three officers participated in a rigorous selection process in late June for the permanent sergeant positions. The selection process included a scored oral interview and a written test, both of which were successfully completed, meeting all the necessary requirements for promotion.
