July Fest, other Binghamton events this weekend: See the list

If you and your family are looking for something to do this weekend, we’ve got you covered.

There are plenty of things to do in the Binghamton area, especially during the summer season.

Check out the local pools, seasonal farmers markets, and outdoor dining when the skies clear. This weekend, come out and support local artists, businesses and festivals. According to National Weather Serviceit will be another weekend of high temperatures, with friday sunny with a high of 85 degrees, 89 degrees on saturday and 91 degrees on sunday.

If you plan to go out, make sure you stay hydrated and find ways to stay cool.

Here are just some of the events happening this weekend:

Friday, July 12

  • Every Friday Iron Agave hosts Salsa Nights Latin Dance Party from 21.00 until closing. Geraldo Iglesias will offer salsa dance lessons at 20.00-21.00. You must be 18 or older to enter and 21 to drink.
  • If you missed the first night, Family Fun Night will be held at the Conklin Fair on Friday, featuring live music from Paul Noyd and Short Change, rides, games and food. $30 for wristbands, individual ride tickets also available. There is no entry fee and free parking will be available.
  • Pancho’s Caribbean Cuisine on Robinson Street in Binghamton will have all the vibes with tunes by DJ EZZ from 10:00pm to 2:30am

Saturday, July 13

  • The Healthy Lifestyles Coalition will host a free Karate course with Fairbanks Karate12.30-1.30 p.m Address: 108 Liberty St., Binghamton
  • This Saturday Ross Park Zoo will have one Sundae Safari fundraiser offering a variety of creative sweets from non-dairy topped with jelly beans to vegan options like Peacock Paradise. The gates will be open at 17.00. Ticket sales end at 19.00. All proceeds go to support the animals at Ross Park Zoo. Children 2 and under get in free, $10 for members and $15 for non-members.   • Gary’s berry will begin its U-Pick season on Saturday at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offer blueberries for $5.30 per pound. The fields are disabled-friendly with on-site parking. If you plan to come out to get some fresh blueberries, bring cash or checks. Address: 5603 state Route 17C, Endicott
  • Support local veterans at CVMA 19-10 Waverly at Cars & Bikes at Otsiningo Park 2024. Open from 10am to 3pm, pre-registration is $20 and can be purchased at carshowpro.com/event/1721. Admission is $25 at the door.

Sunday, July 14

  • The American Civic Association will host one Palestine Cultural Festival this Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Learn about the history of Palestine, grab a plate of free food and see authentic original Palestinian art. Henna and crafts will also be available for purchase. All proceeds will go to a Palestinian non-profit fair trade cooperative. For more information, email [email protected] or text 607-232-6440.

  • Uncorked Creations Binghamton will be hosting a “Mommy and Me” step-by-step “Rainbow Turtles” class from 10am to 12pm for you and your little one.
