Moore finishes second at the US Adaptive Open

NEWTON, Kan. – Head Golf Coach at Western Michigan Kim Moore finished runner-up at the 2024 US Adaptive Open at Sand Creek Station Golf Course on Wednesday.

Moore finished at 228 (+12) with a pair of 75s to end a second round of 78. Bailey Bish won the tournament with a 224 (+8), but was pushed by Moore after Bish opened the tournament with a six-stroke lead after the first round .

It is Moore’s third time competing in the US Adaptive Open, a championship that showcases the world’s best golfers with disabilities, and the third time she has finished in the top two. She won the first ever tournament in 2022 and finished second in 2023. Moore was born without a right foot and a small case of spina bifida.

Moore will be back in action at The Cairns Cup, Disability Golf’s premier matchmaking tournament pitting the USA against Europe. Cairns Cup takes place July 27-Aug. 3 at Cherry Creek Golf Club in Detroit, Mich.
