The Museum of Ice Cream announces a worldwide celebration of National Ice Cream Day

The Ice Museum announced its annual celebration of the 40th anniversary of National Ice Cream Day on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21which spans four major cities: New York City, Chicago, Austinand Singapore.

For the third year, the Museum of Ice Cream, the world’s largest ice cream shop, hosts an epic ice cream party featuring a multi-sensory and playful experience that inspires human connection and imagination, featuring the world’s largest outdoor pool in select cities (New York, Chicago and Singapore). As part of the global celebration, the Museum of Ice Cream is giving away thousands of free servings of ice cream in every city, inspiring the masses to stay cool, celebrate joy and connect through the universal language of ice cream. Guests should be ready to connect and rediscover their inner child through games and activities that unlock free ice cream!

New York, NY at Public Square & Gardens at Hudson Yards

  • Dippin’ Dots is partnering with the Museum of Ice Cream to give away Cotton Candy and Rainbow Ice Dippin’ Dots at Hudson Yards while supplies last, while giving away a free mini cup at all their stores and malls nationwide at July 21.

  • The Museum of Ice Cream and Dippin’ Dots are also hosting the ultimate social giveaway for a chance to win a year of Dippin’ Dots ice cream and 1 year of unlimited access to all Museum of Ice Cream locations around the world.

Austin, TX on South Congress:

  • In collaboration with Blue Bell Creameries, the homemade ice cream brand that originated in Texas, the Museum of Ice Cream is giving away free vanilla and chocolate ice cream cups via a bright pink ice cream truck, in front of Music Lane while supplies last. The Museum of Ice Cream is also partnering with the South Congress Merchant Association for an epic summer giveaway, partnering with dozens of local merchants to offer special discounts, benefits, treats and more.

Chicago, IL at Pioneer Court:

  • The Museum of Ice Cream partners with DOVE Ice Cream, a brand founded on the south side of the Chicago 1956, when it goes back to its roots to celebrate National Ice Cream Day at Pioneer Court. Proudly part of Mars, Inc., DOVE Ice Cream is sharing its original creamy ice cream bars while supplies last.
  • Dove is giving away their original chocolate ice cream while supplies last.

Singapore at Plaza Singapura:

  • Together with Denzy Gelato, Museum of Ice Cream Singapore will surprise and delight guests with delicious sweets and sprinkle pool fun.
  • The Museum of Ice Cream and Denzy Gelato are hosting a scavenger hunt in celebration of National Ice Cream Day – hiding a unicorn squishy every two hours – and encouraging visitors to find and present the squishy to the team in exchange for a year-long membership to the Museum of Ice Cream. A total of six memberships will be awarded over the weekend.

The Ice Cream Museum’s National Ice Cream Day celebration is open to the public on July 20 and July 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m in NYC, Chicago and Singapore and from 12.00 to 17.00 in Austin. The activations are free for everyone and no tickets are required.
