Plans for Greer police and fire training center moving forward: City council notes

Initial Approval: Annexation, redrafting for Police/Fire Training Center

The council approved a request to annex and rezone 4,735 acres on Hood Road.

The city-owned property will be used to develop a police and fire training center.

Final approval: Revision for property division

The council approved a pair of requests to rezone 10.23 acres at 538 Abner Creek Road and 14.51 acres at 180 Joe Leonard Road.

The applicant, Arbor Land Design, plans to develop a 50-lot subdivision on 24.92 acres.

Initial Approval: Annexation, Zoning for Spinx

The council approved a request to annex and zone 4.58 acres spread across three parcels at Highway 101 and Reidville Road.

Spinx Co. plans to use the property to develop a Spinx gas station and convenience store.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on this property on July 15. This item will go to City Council for final approval on July 23.
